Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

Sony has been fighting hard to keep Final Fantasy exclusive to PlayStation, it seems. Last year, Final Fantasy 7 Remake launched exclusively for the PS4, with an exclusivity period of at least a year, while the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 is also going to launch as a PS4 exclusive. But that’s not all, as it turns out. Unsurprisingly, the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, with all of its updates, enhancements, new content, and what have you, is also going to be exclusive to PS5 for a limited time.

Square Enix recently released a new trailer for the upcoming upgrade, showing new footage, gameplay, areas, and a whole bunch of spoilers. The trailer, interestingly enough, also ended with a little bit of text stating that the game will be exclusive to the PS5 for at least six months. That’s not surprisingly, honestly, considering that Final Fantasy 7 Remake was exclusive to the PS4 at launch- perhaps that’s why even the base game hasn’t appeared on other systems yet either, even though its PlayStation exclusivity is over. Maybe Square Enix is waiting so it can launch the full Intergrade version on PC and Xbox one its exclusivity is over as well.

In any case, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is slated to release on June 10th for PS5. Meanwhile, development on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 (or whatever it’ll end up being called) is also proceeding well.
