Genshin Impact – Update 1.6 Releases on June 9th, Includes Ship Combat, New Character

miHoYo Games has announced the next big update coming to Genshin Impact – “Midsummer Island Adventure.” Available to those who finished the main story quest in Liyue, update 1.6 features new stages with Klee in the spotlight. It also introduces the first character from Inazuma, Kaedehara Kazuha, who utilizes a sword and Anemo attacks.

The Midsummer Island Adventure sees the protagonist and Klee sailing on the Waverider and attacking enemy towers. There will also be a race and combat stage against Maguu Kenki. The new foe boasts its own unique combat style, dishing out Anemo and Cryo damage while summoning phantoms. Ranged attacks are also useless against it so you’ll need to improvise.

As for Kazuha, his main Elemental Skill is Chihayaburu which can pull objects and enemies close to him before launching them away and lifting him up. From mid-air, he can then use a special Plunging Attack that deals Anemo damage and creates a wind tunnel to pull objects and enemies in. Kazuha Slash is his Elemental Burst and deals Anemo damage in an AoE while creating a storm field. Stay tuned for more details on the update in the coming days.
