Marvel’s Spider-Man Actor’s Instagram Photo Could be Suggesting That Motion Capture Work for the Sequel is Underway

Nadji Jeter, who portrays Miles Morales, recently uploaded (and deleted) a photo of himself in motion capture gear, fueling speculation that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is in the works.

Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are among the best games Insomniac Games have ever made, and their quality has been reflected not only in strong reception by fans and critics alike, but also in their sales. Spider-Man has sold upwards of 20 million units, while Miles sold over 4 million units in 2020 alone. Considering that, a sequel is practically inevitable- and it seems that work on it might be in full swing.

Nadji Jeter, who plays Miles Morales in Insomniac’s games, recently uploaded a picture of himself on a set in motion capture gear on Instagram, but quickly deleted the image. Speculation is rife, of course, the shooting for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is underway, which would make sense. It’s worth pointing out though, that nothing about the picture or even its caption suggests that it has anything to do with Spider-Man, so take this as speculation for now. You can check out Jeter’s (now-deleted) upload below, courtesy of Twitter user @ErfanManavi.

Of course, Jeter also played the role of Sam in 2013’s The Last of Us, and with leaks claiming that a remake of the game is in the works at Naughty Dog, it’s possible that this upload is related to that. That said, Jeter is much older now than Sam’s character is in the game, so it’s possible that the role could be recast for the remake.

Either way, we should find out sooner or later (hopefully) what this picture is related to. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates until then.
