CD Projekt RED previously confirmed that next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 would be landing in Q1 2022. This will be alongside a major new update for all platforms. In its Q3 2021 financial results, CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński also confirmed that work was ongoing for the title’s first major expansion.

In a new video, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said that along with next-gen versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077, “With each passing month, we’re also expanding teams responsible for developing a major expansion for Cyberpunk, as well as other unannounced projects.” Back in September, Kiciński revealed that 160 staff were working on the first expansion while 70 others were involved with “unannounced projects.”

Quarterly revenues for CD Projekt were up by about 40 percent over year, hitting $34.7 million. While profits were down, this was due to “expenses related to updating Cyberpunk and exploratory work on new projects.” Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. In other recent news, Kiciński said that it wasn’t planned for Xbox Game Pass since it’s “too early.” Stay tuned for more details and updates in the meantime.
