Reception for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer has been extremely positive since its launch a couple of weeks ago, but the experience hasn’t been without its issues. 343 Industries has already deployed a couple of updates to focus on the issue that has been brought up by players most often – that being the Battle Pass progression – but another problem that pretty much all multiplayer games have to deal with is cheaters.

Halo Infinite, being free-to-play and cross-play compatible, has also been dealing with cheaters of late, and recently, 343 Industries’ community manager John Junyszek took to Twitter to speak about the same. Junyszek says cheating was an issue that 343 Industries “anticipated”, and that dealing with the same is “a natural part of supporting” a free-to-play PC title such as Halo Infinite.

According to Junyszek, though cheating will “never go away entirely” in the game, 343 Industries is “prepared and committed to releasing consistent improvements” tackling the issue and “taking action on bad actors”. It remains to be seen what the first of these actions and improvements will be, and when we can expect the developer to take that step, but 343 Industries has been pretty quick to respond to most issues so far, so here’s hoping it isn’t too long.

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and the campaign launches on December 8. You can check out its exact worldwide unlock timings through here.
