The launch of CD Projekt Cyberpunk 2077 was anything but smooth. A litany of technical stability and performance issues brought down a flurry of lawsuits on the company, including, but not limited to, class-action lawsuits filed by investors and shareholders on the grounds of the developer providing misleading information about the game’s quality.

As revealed in a recent official update, the US District Court for the Central District of California has suspended court proceedings in the aforementioned matter, with talks about a potential settlement being underway between the parties. Of course, if a settlement between parties is reached, the cases will be closed. It’s also been revealed that the parties must provide an update on the situation by January 13th, 2022.

“t should also be noted that entering into negotiations concerning a potential settlement should in no way be construed as acceptance by the Company or members of its Management Board of any allegations expressed in the plaintiffs’ court filings,” the company also reminds everyone in its notice- you know, just in case.

CD Projekt said in June this year that Cyberpunk 2077 had reached a satisfactory level of performance on all machines – a statement that can best be described as debatable. The game’s PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions were also delayed, this time to 2022.
