2022 is going to be a packed year for gaming (delays notwithstanding), and kicking things off is what’s looking like the most packed February in recent memory. Of the many huge games launching over the course of next month, Horizon Forbidden West is probably one of the biggest, and ahead of its imminent release, more details have started coming in about it.
A little over a month ago, it emerged that the game would have a download size of approximately 96 GB on the PS5. Now, Twitter page @PlaystationSize has followed up on that and provided the game’s region-specific file sizes for the US and Europe. While the game’s size in Europe is going to be a whopping 96.350 GB, in the US, it’s going to be smaller by some margin, at 85.913 GB.
That’s still a pretty hefty download size, of course, but the gap of roughly 10 GB is an interesting one nonetheless. Meanwhile, the action RPG’s download size in the Japanese PlayStation Store database isn’t yet known. All of these figures also don’t account for any and all day one updates, so the size might fluctuate a little bit more as we approach the game’s launch.
Horizon Forbidden West launches for PS5 and PS4 on February 17.
