Genshin Impact – Yelan’s Abilities and Passives Revealed in New Collective Miscellany Trailer

Genshin Impact - Version 2.7

Following a brief delay, Genshin Impact’s latest update is live with Version 2.7 “Hidden Dreams in the Depths.” Along with new weapons, a new Archon Quest and a new event, it also adds a new 5-star character in Yelan with her own Character Banner. Previous trailers have covered her investigative skills while hinting at her abilities. Full details for the latter have now been revealed in the latest Collective Miscellany trailer.

Her Normal Attack allows for shooting four shots in a row with a bow. A Charged Attack deals increased damage but also allows water to accumulate on the arrowhead and deal Hydro damage. When out of combat for five seconds, Yelan enters “Breakthrough” with her next Charged Shot having 80 percent decreased charge time and dealing AoE Hydro damage based on her max HP.

“Lingering Lifeline” is her Elemental Skill which sees Yelan moving rapidly and entangling enemies with a Lifeline thread. Upon stopping, the Lifeline explodes and deals Hydro damage based on her max HP. For each enemy marked by the Lifeline, she also has a 34 percent chance to reset Breakthrough.

Finally, there’s her Elemental Burst “Clarion Dice” which deals AoE Hydro damage and initiates “Exquisite Throw.” The latter follows a character and when they attack, it launches Hydro damage attacks based on her max HP. Her first Ascension Passive “Turn Control” increases her max HP based on the number of Elemental Types in a party.

“Adapt With Ease”, the fourth Ascension Passive, allows for dealing one percent more damage when Exquisite Throw is active, increasing by 3.5 percent every second (up to a maximum of 50 percent). Finally, her Utility Passive “Necessary Calculation” allows for reaping 25 percent more rewards in a Liyue Expedition that lasts 20 hours.
