LIVE A LIVE

Fans of role playing games have quite a bit to look forward to on the Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks and months, and one of the games in that group that has turned many heads since its announcement earlier this year is LIVE A LIVE. Bit by bit, Square Enix has been releasing new trailers to show off the many time periods that the HD-2D remake will encompass throughout its experience, but if those haven’t been enough to sell you on the game, this newest announcement might help.

As part of the recent Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Square Enix unveiled another new trailer for the game, with which it revealed that a demo for it will become available on the Nintendo Switch eShop later today. The demo will include the introductory chapters of three of the game’s time periods (Imperial China, Edo Japan, and The Distant Future), and any save data from it will also be transferrable into the full game when it launches next month.

Meanwhile, shortly after the Direct went up, Nintendo also uploaded a separate Treehouse video showcasing roughly 40 minutes of gameplay for the RPG. Check it all out below.

LIVE A LIVE launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 22.
