LIVE A LIVE

The Nintendo Switch has a number of major exclusives launching over the course of the year, and one of the most intriguing of the bunch has to be Square Enix’s HD-2D remake of LIVE A LIVE, the classic SNES RPG that never originally launched in the West. And as its release date approaches, we’re beginning to see more of the game.

Recently, for instance, Square Enix released two new trailers focusing on two of the many separate stories set across wildly different time periods in the game. One is for the Prehistory period, which will see players playing as caveman Pogo and get caught in the midst of a conflict between tribes, with no dialogue being featured throughout the story, appropriately enough for the time period.

The second story highlighted is Imperial China, which tells the story of the Earthen Heart shifu, an old kung fu master who is driven to find his next great student who can succeed him as shifu. Check out both the trailers below.

LIVE A LIVE is launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 22.
