It’s almost the end of the month and despite rumors of a release date announcement, God of War Ragnarok remains without news. SIE Santa Monica and Sony seem to be aware of this, according to insider Tom Henderson. He recently tweeted that they’re “right now preparing to announce something to give #GodOfWar fans some life.”

This was followed by a GIF of Thor being revived in Avengers: Infinity War. When told that there would be a blog post and gameplay trailer, Henderson responded, “Not even a gameplay trailer.” Whether it’s happening tomorrow, as famous leaker The Snitch has hinted at, remains to be seen.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier said that Sony is expected to announce a release date soon (apparently in November, as per a previous report). There won’t be a State of Play or showcase though. As it stands, the development team has reiterated that God of War Ragnarok will be released this year so we’ll need to wait for more details. It’s currently in development for PS4 and PS5.
