Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is out now on PC and Nintendo Switch. The expansion adds a lot of new content to Monster Hunter Rise, along with Master Rank hunts, new Switch Skills, and new abilities for hunters.

The release of Sunbreak was led up to by a series of videos released by Capcom, showcasing some of the new monsters coming to the expansion. The most recent trailer, titled A Kingdom’s Savior, confirmed the addition of Shagaru Magala to Monster Hunter Rise‘s roster.

Other monsters coming to the game in Sunbreak include Malzeno, Lunagaron, Furious Rajang, fan-favorite Seregios, and the juvenile form of Shagaru Magala—Gore Magala.

Leading up to the release of Sunbreak, Monster Hunter Rise got update ver. 10, which added High Rank Defender Weapons and Black Belt S Armor to get players ready for the spike in difficulty when transitioning from the base game’s High Rank hunts to Sunbreak‘s Master Rank hunts.

There are also plans for post-launch content, which will include new monsters. Capcom has already confirmed that the first major post-launch update, set for August, will bring Lucent Nargacuga to the game.
