Star Ocean The Divine Force

Square Enix’s Star Ocean: The Divine Force, the latest in tri-Ace’s sci-fi RPG series has received two new trailers. They focus on the dual protagonists, Raymond Lawrence and Laeticia Aucerius, providing a bit more insight into their respective natures. Check them out below.

Raymond is the captain of the Ydas, a merchant vessel traveling through space that was suddenly attacked by the Federation ship Astoria. For more details on that, check out his opening movie here. Stranded on the fourth planet in the Aster star system, he must reunite with his friends, though it’s difficult given his reckless nature.

By comparison, Laeticia is calmer, which belies her resolute nature. As the princess of the Kingdom of Aucerius, Laeticia is said to have “remarkable skill” with the dual blades. Throughout each character’s journey, they’ll work with various allies and companions across numerous battles. Head here for some recent gameplay to see how combat works.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force releases on October 27th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
