Skull and Bones appeared at the new Ubisoft Forward, receiving a new cinematic trailer talking about pirates and whatnot. Fortunately, there’s plenty of gameplay to see as well, with creative director Elisabeth Pellen explaining the mechanics. Check it out below.

In Skull and Bones, you become a pirate captain and have numerous ships at your command. Indulge in trade, assail merchant vessels, mine for resources, and customize your fleet. There are numerous different types of weapons, armor and much more, and choosing the right ammo – Crushing for armor or Tearing for enemy sails – is the key for victory.

Skull and Bones is out on November 8th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, and PC. Ubisoft Singapore has committed to free post-launch content and “years” of support. Time will tell how the launch pans out, especially with some developers reportedly claiming it lacks depth. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
