Splatoon 3 - Chill Season

Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 is getting a lot of new content in its new season, which goes live on December 1st. “Chill Season 2022” will add new modes, stages, weapons, gear, victory emotes, and more for players with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Salmon Run players should take note as Big Run is coming. As a “twist” to the co-op survival mode, the first iteration is set for later this year in Wahoo World. More details – and how the event will “change” Splatsville – are coming later.

Then there are X Battles, available to players that reach an Elite rank in Anarchy Battles. You’ll need to gamble X Power to advance up the leaderboard, resulting in cutthroat competition among the best players. Among the new weapons are a new Roller, Charger and Shooter, and ten weapons returning from previous games. There are even some modified sets to behold.

As for the new stages, Brinewater Springs is brand new, while Flounder Heights is from the first Splatoon. Stay tuned for more details on all the gear, custom titles, victory emotes and stickers that are also inbound.

Splatoon 3 is available for Nintendo Switch – check out our official review here. It has sold 7.9 million units as of September 30th, 2022.
