A recent leak suggested that the looming launch of Like a Dragon: Ishin! would be preceded by the release of a combat-focused demo of the game, and that has now been officially confirmed.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega have announced that Like a Dragon: Ishin! has a free demo available to play right now. Called the “Combat Demo”, it offers a “small taste of the intense and over-the-top action featured in Like a Dragon: Ishin!”
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is, of course, built on the Unreal Engine, unlike past Yakuza (and Judgment) games, so the demo should also serve as a good test for how the game performs from a technical perspective. RGG Studio has also confirmed that save data from the demo will not carry over into the full game.
Interestingly, though Like a Dragon: Ishin! is going to release as a cross-gen title, the demo is only available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
