After what feels like an eternity, the long-awaited Dead Island 2 is finally right around the corner. Ahead of its launch less than a month from now, developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver have been revealing plenty of new gameplay footage and details on what to expect from the action RPG sequel, and to keep that momentum going, its cinematic title sequence has also now been revealed.

Created by award-winning creative studio ELASTIC, the title sequence showcases the game’s setting, the city of Los Angeles (or HELL-A, as its referred to in the game), which was once a sunny paradise but has now been overrun by the undead. Plenty of shots showcase the city in disarray and covered in blood and chaos, setting the tone for the game’s semi-open world offerings. Check out the full cinematic title sequence below.

Dead Island 2 is due out on April 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
