After years of delays and development troubles, Dead Island 2 is finally almost here, and in the lead up to its launch, developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver have shown off quite a bit of it. Now, as previously confirmed, they’ve revealed another extended look at the zombie action RPG, showing off 14 minutes of gameplay footage.

The extended gameplay walkthrough showcases the game’s beginning, focusing on Dani, one of the six playable Slayers in the game. Taking place in Bel Air, Los Angeles, the footage showcases Dani fighting through a variety of different zombies as she tries to get to Halperin Hotel. Glimpses of the Skill Deck system and Dani’s abilities are shown off, while we also get a look at several weapons. The action itself, as you’d expect, looks deliciously gory, with the game’s FLESH system on full display. Check out the footage below.

Dead Island 2 recently went gold, and is due out on April 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
