Along with the PC requirements for Dead Island 2, Dambuster Studios has revealed the frame rate for the title on consoles. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions run at 60 frames per second, while Xbox One and PS4 run at 30 FPS. The resolution wasn’t specified, though the Xbox Store listing indicates 4K Ultra HD support, so that could be a separate mode.
The developer also confirmed no cross-platform play, though cross-gen multiplayer is supported. Details on the latter and co-op will be revealed in another blog post. For the HUD, players can customize all kinds of information, from the central notification pop-ups and objective markers to zombie health and damage numbers.
Though only English audio is available, supported languages for subtitles, tooltips and so on include English, Spanish, Italian, Mexican Spanish, Czech, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, French, Russian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Polish.
Dead Island 2 releases on April 21st. You can check out the first 11 minutes or more extensive gameplay here.
