Remedy Entertainment finally revealed a new trailer for Alan Wake 2, its long-awaited survival horror game and follow-up to the 2010 classic. It confirmed two playable characters – the titular Alan Wake and newcomer Saga Anderson – and some bits of gameplay to go with its gorgeous visuals.
In some new tweets, Thomas Puha, Remedy’s Director of Communications and Community, revealed that the trailer was “100 percent” running on PS5. “We did say in 2021 that we are gonna push the graphics hard on this one. I think we’ll have the best-looking game in 2023.”
Of course, Alan Wake 2 isn’t exclusive to the PS5 but also coming to Xbox Series X/S (and PC). When asked if there are plans to showcase the Xbox version, Puha replied, “Game will obviously [look] great on that platform too.”
Alan Wake 2 releases on October 17th and won’t have a physical release. Remedy says it will cost $60 on consoles and $50 on PC. Two paid expansions, Night Springs and The Lake House, are included with the Digital Deluxe Edition ($80 on consoles, $70 on PC), but you can also expect free updates. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
The Alan Wake 2 trailer in the PlayStation Showcase was 100% running on PlayStation 5. I want to really point that out. We did say in 2021 that we are gonna push the graphics hard on this one. I think we'll have the best looking game in 2023 #AlanWake2 #alanwake #PlayStation5
