Helldivers 2

Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 will be released next year, but new gameplay continues to roll out. The latest trailer showcases the Automaton faction, which contrasts the bug-like aliens seen thus. Touted as “intelligent and relentless”, they’re dedicated to wiping out Super Earth.

Naturally, you’ll need to fight them with assault rifles, rocket launchers and explosives. The Automatons may have grunts suited for melee combat, but there are also tankier units armed with chainsaws, flamethrowers and buzzsaws. Overall, they’re an interesting change-up from the enemies seen thus far, though their intelligence remains to be seen.

Helldivers 2 launches on February 8th, 2024, for PS5 and PC. Pre-orders are now live (granting three free armor sets), with the Standard Edition costing $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition retailing at $59.99. The latter offers the base game, the DP-53 Savior of the Free Armor Set, Will of the People Cape, MP-98 Knight Weapon, Super Citizen Status, the Steeled Veterans Premium Warbond and more. Stay tuned for more details and check out some more gameplay here.
