Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport doesn’t have the most cars in the series yet, but there are still over 500 to unlock. Thanks to the new leveling system, you must race each and gain XP to unlock their parts (check out our guide for tips). However, as is the time-honored tradition, one has to ask: What are the fastest cars in the game, and how do you get them?
As with previous titles, each car has a Performance Index or PI, assigned based on their Speed, Handling, Acceleration, Launch, Braking and Class. The fastest cars usually fall under X (999 PI), P (901-998 PI), R (801-900 PI) and S (701-800 PI).
However, each car is different. Some are better suited to certain situations. One with the highest Speed may not be the best when cornering if its Braking and Handling are terrible. Conversely, a car with excellent Handling, Acceleration and Braking may not have the best Speed, but it excels on tracks with many curves.
Nevertheless, this is a list of the fastest cars in the game. Anything with a Speed above 8.0 is listed below. You can usually buy them in the in-game store (with one exception), but some cars may be awarded when starting a Series in Builders Cup or as a reward. Go through all the Tours before buying any vehicles to ensure you’re not wasting any Credits.
