Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is expanding on the foundations of Remake in more ways than one, and by the looks of it, chief among them is going to be the massive, seamless open world it’s going to be set in. Square Enix has made it a point to hammer home just how crucial that part of the experience is going to be in the lead-up to the action RPG’s launch, and the developer is now also offering a glimpse at one very particular aspect of the vast world.

Taking to Twitter, Square Enix recently showcased a short gameplay clip, where you can view a small portion of the in-game world map, which is looking absolutely massive- we can only imagine how large the full map is going to be. Meanwhile, the clip also showcases Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s near-instantaneous fast travel, which you can use to warp to cities or Chocobo stables in a handful of seconds. Check it out below.

Square Enix has previously said that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is going to feature over 100 hours of content, with the main story being roughly 40 hours long. For the optional content, the development team says it took inspiration from The Witcher 3.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29 for PS5.
