Visions of Mana

Square Enix was next for the Xbox Developer_Direct ’24, presenting new details for Visions of Mana. As the latest in the famed action RPG series, it marks the first time the franchise comes to Xbox. In a new trailer, the development team discusses what the series means to different players and its approach to the sequel.

As Val, players must venture to the Mana Tree with his childhood friend to help rejuvenate it. As a Soul Guard, you’ll tackle enemies, recruit more party members and harness the Elementals with specialized items for powerful effects. Aerial combat allows players to unleash physical and magical attacks in mid-air.

There’s also an adorable mount, pikul, inspired by a Yorkshire Terrier. It’s powerful and capable of ramming through enemies on the field. As for the soundtrack, players can expect over 100 songs, and the adaptive music system changes the background score based on your situation.

Visions of Mana launches this Summer for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
