It’s no secret that Palworld is hotly anticipated – right from the very first trailer, many were curious about this so-called “Pokemon with guns.” As it turns out, Pocketpair’s survival-crafting adventure isn’t a scam, and is very much playable in early access for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. On Steam alone, it’s notched up an astounding 298,012 concurrent players (and rising) within just a few hours, per SteamDB.

The early access version offers over 100 Pals to collect, more than 350 items, and 70+ buildings. Along with capturing Pals and having them build items, farm, cook food, smelt metals and more, you can also explore a massive archipelago. There are Alpha Pals to discover in Dungeons, rival factions, settlements with merchants, mysterious Towers with powerful trainers, and even contraband dealers.

With the right equipment, you can use Pals as mounts and even weapons. If you get tired of said Pals, there’s even an option to butcher them.
