EA Sports and Codemasters have released the first gameplay footage for F1 24, the next title in its long-running racing sim series. It showcases some stunning visuals and the legendary Max Verstappen himself. Check it out below.

Several new gameplay details were also revealed, like the new Driver Career mode. Instead of controlling an original character, players will race through the career of a real-world driver. You can “build on” their existing record or embody legendary racers, earning new Accolades, engaging in rivalries that span multiple seasons and more. Of course, those who want to pursue the rookie route can still do so.

There’s also Challenge Career, providing episodic “mini Career scenarios” with different events and challenges, where players can rank on community leaderboards. Regarding the driving, EA Sports says the Dynamic Handling offers the “most authentic and immersive driving experience ever felt” in the series. Players can also look forward to more options for car set-up, an improved tyre model, an “all-new suspension kinematics system,” and more.

F1 24 launches on May 31st for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
