As promised, Capcom dropped another new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, showcasing a newcomer to the monster roster. While its name is unknown, it appears to be a Piscine Wyvern type similar to Jyuratodus, except it can seamlessly traverse the dunes. Check out the trailer below.

While this new monster can burrow into the sand and emerge at will, it can fire sludge projectiles from a distance and hang off of rock structures. Perhaps most frightening is that an entire herd can assail the player (assuming it isn’t a neat set piece). However, even more intriguing is what seems to be a new Flying Wyvern that can conduct electricity and unleash it in a powerful blast.

There are also teases of the main village suffering an attack, to which the player character leaps in for the rescue. Monster Hunter Wilds launches in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, with the next trailer debuting at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Who knows? We may even get a release date. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
