Nana Mizuki, who voiced Fragile in Japanese for the first game, could be featured in the image, perhaps hinting at her return.

Roughly a day after releasing a new silhouette image for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, director Hideo Kojima is back at it with another. This time, the image seemingly teases a new female character, again with the words, “Who am I?”

While this further fuels speculation of a new trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live, especially given the proximity of these teases, there could be another explanation. Some have theorized that the individual in the image is Nana Mizuki, a renowned singer and the Japanese voice of Fragile in the first Death Stranding, who is likely returning to reprise the role.

Kojima may be teasing an announcement for the game’s Japanese voice cast. Such an announcement would probably be more fitting at the Tokyo Game Show in September, which Kojima Productions is attending. Given the number of characters, several more teases may be due in the coming weeks.

Time will tell, though, so stay tuned. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is currently in development for PS5, with a release sometime in 2025.
