Team Asobi’s Astro Bot, the latest in its 3D platforming series, is out now. Retailing for $59.99 exclusively on PS5, it sees Astro on a journey once more to rescue his fellow Bots. This time, the journey encompasses 50 planets with more than 80 levels to explore.

There are over 300 Bots to rescue and more than 70 new enemy types to contend with (presumably not including bosses). Fortunately, Astro has over 15 new Abilities to choose from, like the Octo-Balloon to inflate and float around, Barkster the Bulldog Booster for vertically dashing through obstacles, and more. Players can expect a playthrough lasting 12 to 15 hours, though there are plenty of collectibles to chase.

Check out our review of Astro Bot, where we gave it a 9 out of 10. It’s currently 2024’s best-reviewed game according to Metacritic. Team Asobi is working on free DLC, which includes at least ten new challenging stages and five new speedrun levels, for launch later this year.
