Open-world action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of several PS5 titles that will receive an update to support the upcoming PS5 Pro. However, Capcom also announced that it will release an update on all platforms to “further improve CPU load,” provide additional adjustments, and reduce crashes.

There’s no ETA, but it will provide further details “as soon as they are ready.” Launched in March, Dragon’s Dogma 2 received extensive acclaim for its combat, emergent gameplay, and open-world design. You can check out our review – we awarded it a ten out of ten.

However, its optimization and performance, especially on PC, have received criticism ever since. Capcom has released patches to improve performance while adding more storage options, nerfing the effects of Dragonsplague and more. It remains to be seen how things will improve with the latest patch, so stay tuned.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It’s sold three million units since launch. Last month, director Hideaki Itsuno left the company after more than 30 years and will begin “developing a new game in a new environment” this month.
