dead rising deluxe remaster

Like a venerable undead, Capcom’s Dead Rising series is back from the grave with the release of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Based on the 2006 classic that started it all, it’s part-remake, part-remaster, offering revamped visuals and character models, improved facial animations, and much more. Check out the launch trailer below.

As photojournalist Frank West, players must survive for 72 hours in-game against thousands of zombies in Willamette Parkview Mall. While striving to solve cases, rescue survivors, and uncover the mystery of the outbreak, everything available is a weapon. Feel free to go nuts with stuffed bears, chainsaws, and shopping carts.

The Deluxe Remaster offers more than pretty visuals with full voice acting, quality-of-life features like auto-save and fast-forward, and even a durability bar for items. There are also new books to equip on items and a new Standard control style for aiming while shooting.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review – we gave it a nine out of ten.
