Astro Bot - Building Speed

Team Asobi’s Astro Bot will receive its new speedrun levels and Special Bots starting tomorrow, October 17th, with the launch of Building Speed. This first level features Astro and Barkster rushing through a sci-fi city in the clouds. Check out the short teaser below.

A new level will become available every Thursday at 6 AM PST until November 14th. October 24th is Let it Slide; October 31st is Spring-Loaded Run; November 7th is Helium Heights; and Rising Heat closes things out on November 14th. Each of these is free and contains two new Special Bots to rescue, starting with Stellar Blade’s Eve and the Helldiver from, well, Helldivers.

That means ten post-launch Special Bots, though the others are a secret for now. Other levels are reportedly in the works, and while Asobi didn’t outline their release dates, it did tease “even more surprises coming soon.” In the meantime, players can try to compete on leaderboards for the best times.

Astro Bot is available exclusively for PS5. Check out our review, where we gave it a nine out of ten.
