Gearbox’s Borderlands 4 is launching early in September, and to prepare fans on what to expect, it will have a dedicated State of Play. The PlayStation Blog confirmed that the showcase will air on April 30th at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET/10 PM BST on YouTube and Twitch.

Creative director Graeme Timmins and senior project producer Anthony Nicholson will be on hand to present more than 20 minutes of “developer-guided” gameplay. This will showcase various missions, Action Skills and “killer” weapons. While new characters will appear, Timmins teases returning faces as well.

Stay tuned for more details and updated coverage on the title following the State of Play. Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It stars four new Vault Hunters and features a new planet, Kairos, with new threats. Alongside a more “dynamic world” and “billions” of weapons and accessories, it plans to cut down on the previous game’s toilet humor.
