The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to stretch on longer than anticipated, with Rockstar Games having announced a delay for the game into May of next year. The company did, however, also follow up on that announcement with the second trailer for the highly anticipated open world crime epic, which, unsurprisingly, has attracted a lot of attention.
Reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Grand Theft Auto 6’s recently released second trailer had more than 475 million views across all platforms in its first 24 hours, eclipsing the first trailer’s 93 million views on YouTube in that same timeframe. According to Rockstar Games, in fact, GTA 6’s second trailer has seen the biggest video launch of all time, surpassing Deadpool and Wolverine’s debut trailer (365 million views in 24 hours) and Fantastic Four: The First Steps (200 million views in 24 hours).
Beyond the game itself, The Pointer Sisters’ Hot Together, the song used in the trailer, also enjoyed a massive boost, with a whopping 182,000% increase in Spotify streams.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out more details on its supporting cast of characters through here, and the many locations in its map through here.
