After launching on PC last year, 11 bit studios’ Frostpunk 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. It features a dedicated UI for consoles, which PC players can also avail of thanks to the addition of gamepad support. Check out the launch trailer below.
The new UI allows for cycling between the same district types with the bumpers and provides a context-sensitive radial menu when managing resources. Those who enjoyed the Circular Menu from Frostpunk: Console Edition can look forward to its return with several changes and revamps to suit the sequel.
As for PC players, they can look forward to changes such as the number of homeless being denoted in the Heatmap and Main District. On top of dying, they can also get sick (though the rate of their deaths has been reduced). It’s now possible to increase Stockpile hub capacity thanks to new research, and upgrading the generator will provide additional heating levels.
