There’s a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance out, and it gives us a good look at the expansion’s dragons and many of the memorable moments that are waiting as the hunt for them begins. Capcom let the great beasts loose at the State of play showcase, and you’re going to be fighting them from the land and the air, attempting to bring them down despite their fearsome abilities and imposing statures.
There’s something seriously wrong with the local fauna too, and it’s a mysterious parasite that you’re probably going to be tracking even as the Elder Dragon’s threat looms large over the land. Of course, those new Bow Boosts and improved Dragonpiercers should prove quite handy at range, while the new Greatsword should be enough to make a dent in even those majestic scales.
Capcom’s clearly aiming high with this one, which is due for release in 2027 alongside a Switch 2 version of the game. Well, anything that brings more Hunters into the fray is good news in a title where that’s a job that is as risky as it is rewarding. As always, you cane xpect to hear morea bout this one from us as soon as more information comes to light.
