Konami has lifted the curtain on Rhapsody in Scarlet, an action title that brings 1920s New York to life with a lot of style, and perhaps even more substance.
At its center is Ellie Myers, who seems to moonlight as a singer while serving as a formidable magus when the need arises. She seems quite sought after, with a pair of interesting warriors looking to engage her services for their employer one way or another. They’re going to have a hard time convincing her to do anything she doesn’t want to do, and her headstrong nature makes it likely that she’s going to be at odds with them sooner rather than later.
Thankfully, her staff and beastly summons are a credible threat, giving her some very versatile moves in a fight while retaining the power to tear through foes unfortunate enough to find themselves in her way. Some of those attacks look especially deadly, and we’re sure they’re going to come in handy against enemies who are going to challenge her to push past her perceived limits.
The premise is definitely interesting, and we can’t wait to learn more about the story and gameplay that this one’s looking to being to the table. This one’s worth keeping an eye on, and the trailer below should show you why.
