After a report about it being the most wishlisted “game” during Gamescom weekend, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past is confirmed to have hit 900,000 wishlists. CD Projekt RED shared the news on Twitter and said it was “incredibly humbled by so many of you ready to continue your journey with Geralt.”

Though it’s been available to wishlist for some time, interest seemingly shot up after its reveal trailer. Of course, the developer followed up with more gameplay showcasing the new region of Letten, where Geralt has been invited at Dandelion’s behest. Once the latter goes missing, the White Wolf must track him down.

Besides new quests and characters, Songs of the Past adds a new weapon for Geralt to wield: a silver chain. Replacing the crossbow, it can target specific enemy weak points, pulling them closer and even leading to finishers. You can also use it as a regular weapon, whipping enemies at range. Because of its strength, though, it will cost Adrenaline Points to use, though CD Projekt RED is still adjusting the same.

The Witcher 3 – Songs of the Past launches next year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. If you want a head start on the journey, or are diving into the title for the first time, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches on September 29th. Head here for everything it’s changing.
