The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is almost here, and CD Projekt RED has responded to questions about the file size of the free update rolling out to existing versions of the game.
Marcin Momot, CDPR’s Global Community and Social Media Director, took to X to confirm an approximately 45 GB download on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It brings a long and exciting list of improvements that modernize the beloved title and lay the groundwork for Songs of the Past when it launches next year. We’ve been pretty enthusiastic about this one, not just for the nostalgia and the thrill of revisiting Geralt’s iconic romp around The Continent, but because we believe it’s the beginning of the next big chapter for the franchise, taking us back to the original release one last time before Ciri takes over the reins in 2028 with The Witcher 4.
Well, the time to get back to monster hunting and Gwenting our way across that massive map is nearly here, and you might want to free up some space before the Conjunction of the Spheres and its aftermath calls to you again. For our part, we’re eager to catch up with Dandelion and indulge his antics once again.
