Arrowhead Game Studios has released a new update for Helldivers 2, with one of the headlining features being the introduction of Easy Anti-Cheat to the game. The anti-cheat system is being further bolstered by what the studio refers to as “additional security tools” that can “enhance its effectiveness and improve game integrity protection.”
The update also fixes quite a few bugs and crashes throughout the game, such as crashes related to bodies ragdolling, one that can happen when trying to emote with SEAF soldiers, and even one that could happen due to the presence of SEAF shuttles when a lot of enemies are around. Generally speaking, the update has brought in stability improvements with better support for DirectX 12.
When it comes to enemies and weapons, the update has fixed several issues, big and small, that could pop up when using certain weapons. One example is the 40-K Meltagun previously being unable to properly destroy the sides of Command Bunkers. Similarly, the Hyena’s animation issues that could pop up when a reload was interrupted have been sorted out as well.
Along with this, Arrowhead has also taken quite a bit of feedback from the Helldivers 2 community when it came to bringing in some balance changes across weapons and stratagems. Key among these is a complete balance pass on several stratagems, as well as a rebalance for the Sickle. Weapons from the Killzone and Halo Legendary Warbonds have also gotten a similar balance pass. For more details, check out the full patch notes below.
Helldivers 2 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
