While Phantom Blade Zero commands much of the hype ahead of its launch tomorrow, Crimson Desert players have a new expansion to look forward to in Charting the Unknown. In a new post, Pearl Abyss revealed that it will go live on all platforms worldwide at 3 PM PDT on October 29th.
Alongside the expansion, there will be an update that must be downloaded and installed first. And for those wondering about pre-loading, it’s currently available only on PS5. Xbox Series X/S and PC players must wait until Charting the Unknown is out to download it. Look on the bright side – it probably won’t require 145 GB of installation space like S-Game’s action RPG.
That doesn’t mean the expansion is a fairly small addition, though, as players will venture into (and under) Pywel’s waters. New bosses await, but you can also create strongholds and leverage new systems, including one that turns liberated locations into businesses.
Players only need to finish Chapter 3 to unlock all of the side content. However, the narrative-minded must finish the base game’s main quest to gain access to the new story and epilogues for Kliff, Oongka and Damiane. Head here for the latest details and learn everything you should do before embarking into the unknown.
