WRC 2010 Not in 3D… Okay.

Black Bean, who’re developing the first WRC game in five years, have announced WRC 2010 will not be supporting 3D, but the next edition of WRC will. “This year we do not support 3D for the PS3. Next year we will be starting on that,” said Fabio Paglianti, director of the game.

“The main problem is that you need to double the number of FPS and then the machine can do all the work. But to have double the number of FPS is a challenge,” he said.

Head of physics designers Irvin Zonca said: “The technology itself is at an early age. When we try it for video games, something works well, something doesn’t work well. So we don’t think this is the right time to focus on that one, we prefer to focus on the whole game on the physics, on the licence, on the gameplay for this first edition.”
