Ubisoft have confirmed that a second Ubisoft Forward digital event will be coming in September of this year. The same was confirmed by the company’s chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet during a recent earnings call for the first quarter fiscal year.
Speaking about the recent Ubisoft Forward showcase, Duguet noted that the event “generated historic viewership” and even managed to surpass Ubisoft’s past E3 showing. He said, “Ubisoft Forward was a major milestone and the response from our fans was very promising. We achieved record-high peak concurrent viewership during this event, surpassing our previous E3 conference.”
At their recent Ubisoft Forward showcase, the company shared new details on upcoming games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion. A second event during September would fall before both games’ releases, so it’s possible that Ubisoft might talk more about both, though it’s more likely that they spend that time sharing updates on other upcoming games, such as Far Cry 6 (which was also announced during the event earlier this month), Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters (which has reportedly undergone major changes during development since it was announced.
Ubisoft have recently come under fire from several fronts following details emerging of sexual misconduct by numerous employees at the company, including some top executives. Read more on that through here.
