There are a lot of shooter based video games out in market today. Among the Call of Duty, Battlefield and Rainbow Six franchises, there is another remarkable series that was short lived. The Socom series was a third-person tactical shooter that placed players into the role of a special task force. Players controlled not only their individual characters but also the team.
The video game release came bundled with a headset for the game that could pickup voice commands to your team of solider. Need to breach a door? By saying the appropriate commands would cause your team to get into position. Zipper Interactive has since closed down but we could see Sony making some nice improvements in a PlayStation 4 remastered edition of Socom: U.S. Navy Seals .
