The Socom series was a third-person tactical shooter that placed players into the role of a special task force. Players controlled not only their individual characters but also the team.

The video game release came bundled with a headset for the game that could pickup voice commands to your team of solider. Need to breach a door? By saying the appropriate commands would cause your team to get into position. Zipper Interactive has since closed down but we could see Sony making some nice improvements in a PlayStation 4 remastered edition of Socom: U.S. Navy Seals .
