Aliens: Fireteam Elite Debuts on Top of UK Physical Sales Chart

Weekly sales were double that of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Meanwhile, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut drops from first to ninth place.

Gfk’s UK physical sales chart for the week ending August 28th is now available and Focus Home Interactive’s Aliens: Fireteam Elite has debuted in first place. According to GamesIndustry.biz, it sold double that of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, which is currently in second place. The majority of sales (42 percent) were on PS5 followed by Xbox Series X/S (31 percent) and PS4 (27 percent).

As for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, it dropped from first to ninth place with sales decreased by 50 percent week-on-week. This could be due to the availability of PS5 hardware in the region. Other titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart also dropped to fifth and 12th place respectively despite seeing huge bumps last week.

No More Heroes 3 was the other new title for the week, releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch at 16th place. Check out the complete Gfk top ten for the week below.
