Devil May Cry Started as a Resident Evil Game
It’s really hard to imagine that one of the most popular Capcom franchises were not as you thought they were. Originally Resident Evil wasn’t really Resident Evil; in fact the main protagonist of the series was originally going to be Dante. In fact, Resident Evil 4 itself was supposed to be a much faster paced i.e. in-your- face action game, until Capcom really felt that the game had really wandered too far from its roots. On the other hand, since they enjoyed what was created, they allowed it to have its own series, and Devil May Cry was born.
