No Custom Waypoints

Anthem’s world is beautiful (if highly unoriginal) but navigating it is an ordeal thanks to the baffling map functions. Go ahead and open your map. Where are the World Events taking place? How do you know which ones are taking place? Why can’t you set custom waypoints to areas on the map and then navigate there? Why aren’t there any waypoints for environmental items, chests or runes so that you can point them out to teammates? The lack of these basic features is annoying enough but compared to a game like Apex Legends that’s actually raising the bar with its pinging system, it’s pretty embarrassing overall.
