As if rumors about a new State of Play on April 16th weren’t enough, Ubisoft is reportedly planning to reveal Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on the same day.
It started as a rather innocuous comment on Resetera by BlackBate, who said that the announcement was “planned to go live on the 16th.” An event is also apparently set for later in April, and the release is “not far away.” Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson followed up by noting that he had also heard of a reveal on April 16th, with previous reports from the site’s podcast claiming “mid-April.”
And if that isn’t definitive enough (at least as far as rumors go), NateTheHate also claimed that it’s on the same day. Could it have some connection to the rumored State of Play, which is allegedly third-party focused? He’s not sure. As such, you should assume they’re two separate things…unless Resynced suddenly appears on Sony’s showcase with a release date.
Could it launch sometime in the coming months? It’s not impossible, although with Ubisoft stating that it delayed an unannounced title from the current fiscal year to 2027, one has to wonder if that’s the case. Either way, we’ll find out in the coming week, so stay tuned for more details.
In the meantime, you can check out Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which received a patch for Upgraded PSSR support on PS5 Pro. Switch 2 players can even utilize a mouse and keyboard to play the open-world action RPG.
