Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s Secret of the Spires DLC Delayed to November 28th

A "critical last-minute issue" has delayed Massive Entertainment's second and currently final story pack for the title by two days.

Just one day before its launch, the second story DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Secret of the Spires, has been delayed. Massive Entertainment confirmed this is due to a “critical last-minute issue.” It will now launch on November 28th, midnight PT.

The issue in question wasn’t revealed, though the developer said its priority is to ensure “a high-quality, enjoyable and memorable experience” for players. As for what the story pack has to offer, it takes place in the Spires of the Clouded Forest, where players engage in “epic aerial battles.” Based on images revealed thus far, the RDA is back, presumably for yet another scrap.

Stay tuned for more details on Secret of the Spires, and check out our review for the base game here. It’s playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC with one story pack, The Sky Breaker, available. Ubisoft hasn’t provided sales numbers for the open-world title, though reports indicate about 1.9 million copies sold as of January 2024. Whether there will be more updates and DLC in the future also remains to be seen.
