Avowed

Since Microsoft’s release calendar for 2024 is busy, Avowed was pushed to early next year. Fortunately, a new trailer is available to help the wait, highlighting how ray tracing looks on PC with Nvidia RTX GPUs. Check it out below.

The trailers showcase more natural illumination (courtesy of Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen tech), and ray traced reflections with RTX compared to without. Nvidia also confirmed that the PC version will launch with support for Nvidia DLSS 3 and Reflex, the former providing better performance with ray tracing enabled. The latter will allow for low-latency gaming on supported hardware.

Avowed launches on February 18th, 2025, for PC and Xbox Series X/S. It’s appearing at Gamescom 2024 in August alongside Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Stay tuned for more updates and new gameplay in the meantime.
